Sex and the City writer to tour Australia

Candace Bushnell, author of the best-selling book Sex and the City and writer of the ensuing HBO series, will come to Australia in July as a keynote speaker with Business Chicks.

Business Chicks, a women’s network with around 28,000 members across Australia, will be taking the author on tour throughout Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne where she will speak at a series of lunch events.

Guests will learn from “the real Carrie Bradshaw” how her empire was created.

Emma Isaacs, CEO Business Chicks said: “We love Candace; in a way she’s led the modern female liberation movement – she made it ok to talk about issues such as gay marriage, and amplified the challenges for single working mums. Her books, TV shows and movies have been behind so many of our conversations.”

Bushnell has also authored and written screenplays for Lipstick Jungle, The Carrie Diaries and One Fifth Avenue.

Business Chicks runs regular events for corporate women and currently operate in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

Previous speakers include Ita Buttrose, Sir Richard Branson, Olivia Newton-John, Sir Bob Geldof and Diane von Furstenberg.
