Seven's summer TV reign

Seven’s summer programming is pulling in the viewers with the network again taking the largest share of all free-to-air viewers.

Seven sat on a combined 28.5% of all FTA viewers on Wednesday night, with 20.6% for its primary channel, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Nine came second on total 26.9% with 19.3% for its main channel with Ten in third place on 19.8% with 11.9% for its primary channel.

News and current affairs were the evening’s most watched, with Seven News 1.044 million) winning the night. Seven’s Today Tonight (891,000) beat Nine’s A Current Affair (838,000).

Ten Eyewitness News sat in 10th place with 610,000 viewres, behind ABC News’ 751,000 viewers.

Nine’s RBT was the best performing entertainment show, in fifth place it pulled in 782,000 viewers for Nine.

Mighty Planes won 689,000 viewers for Seven while Better Homes and Gardens Summer pulled in 678,000.

Ten’s most watched entertainment program was Modern Family, in 17th place it won 491,000 viewers for Ten.

ABC sat on a total 18.9% share of viewers with 12.9% for ABC1. SBS was left with a total 5.8% with 4.7% for SBS ONE.
