Reports Grazia is set to be canned tomorrow

The newly purchased Australian arm of Bauer Media could be about to make its casualty after reports weekly fashion mag Grazia is to be canned on the day the Audit Bureau of Circulation results are revealed.

A report in the gossip Rear Window section of the Australian Financial Review has suggested the magazine, which has suffered a series of declines in circulations, will be axed publically tomorrow.

However, the report by regular columnist Joe Aston also rtaises questions as to whether he has broken strict embargoes on revealing circulation and readership figures, after citing the latest report from Roy Morgan.

The move comes just a few weeks after the German-owned group, formerly ACP, announced it is launching Elle in the local market.

A spokesperson for the publisher said they would not comment on “gossip”.

The magazine is published under license from former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s Mondadori group.
