PHD Australia is importing Angela Rapley from Mediacom in Singapore to take on the newly-created role of director of content.

Rapley, who will take responsibility for developing PHD’s content offering, has spent two years as head of content APAC for Mediacom, working across 14 markets.

She worked for 16 years in television in the UK and her home country of Ireland, as a producer on UK TV shows, before joining Mediacom.

Rapley said: “Having recently arrived in Australia, I’m really excited to be joining an agency like PHD, whose creativity and vibe are really contagious. They have a unique way of thinking and an approach that’s really interesting and I look forward to working alongside the teams to develop great work that truly delivers for our clients, both from a creative standpoint and one which is reflected in their business results.”

Chris Stephenson, head of strategy at PHD, to whom Rapley will report, added: “It’s awesome to have Angela on board at PHD. Her extensive experience in content development and production brings a new and exciting development to our specialist offering as we continue to find better ways for our clients.”
