Nine reclaims its crown as most-watched network

After losing out to Seven on Wednesday, Nine Network fought back to win the night, thanks to its news shows and Big Brother.

Nine won 29.2% of the audience share last night, with Seven taking 25.1%, according to Oztam’s metro ratings.

Ten’s Masterchef Australia – Masterclass had a good night, just making it into the top 10 most-watched free-to-air shows, with 764,000 viewers.

Nine News was the most-viewed program, with 1.171 million people tuning in, and the network’s A Current Affair came in fourth, with an audience of 995,000.

Seven News and ABC News took out second and third places, with 1.152 million and 1.008 million viewers respectively.

After Seven’s Today Tonight and Home and Away, Nine’s Big Brother was in seventh place, with 825,000 people switching on to find out the latest goings-on in the Big Brother house.

Completing the top 10 programs were Nine’s The Footy Show (821,000 viewers) and Catalyst on ABC1 (799,000 viewers).
