Carat creates national heads, promotes Gavin Ashcroft

Carat is moving to a new national leadership structure with the promotion of Melbourne general manager, Gavin Ashcroft, to the newly created chief strategy officer role.

Ashcroft (pictured left) is now CSO of Carat Australia and New Zealand.

Along with the head strategy officer role, new chief executive Simon Ryan has created national heads of digital, investment and business development roles. The media agency is actively recruiting to fill the three new posts.

“This promotion and new national structure are a nod to the strength of the individuals and our drive to continually improve the way we are working,” Ryan (pictured right) said.

“This creates a national leadership team of ten senior media executives to direct our highly motivated business.

“Offering united national leadership will guarantee that we are constantly working to our full potential and offering our clients best in class service. We have had a strong year at Carat, and we’re in the right place for continued success.”

The new national roles have not impacted state-based managing director roles. Andrew Norris continues as MD with Angus Frazer as general manager in Sydney. Alan Matthews is MD in Perth with GM Tom Martin while Robert Harvey continues as MD in New Zealand.

Luke Littlefield, CEO, Aegis Media Australia & New Zealand said: “Carat is performing very well and is poised for further growth. This new structure will help ensure that Carat continues to deliver great client service and clever campaigns, attract the best people and build on its leading position in the industry.”
