Another stellar Gruen show for the ABC

Gruen Planet stole the show for the ABC last night, ranking top non-news show on the free-to-air channels.

A total of 988,000 viewers tuned in to see Wil Anderson, Todd Sampson, Russel Howcroft, Anouk Darling and Dee Madigan discuss the latest goings-on in advertising.

Topping the most-watched TV programs last night was Seven News, with 1.157 million viewers, according to figures from Oztam. It was closely followed by Nine News, with 1.154 million viewers.

Nine’s Big Brother took out eighth spot, with an audience of 819,000, and the ABC won ninth and 10th spots with 7.30 and QI.

Seven’s Slideshow slipped out of the top 10, with 765,000 viewers, putting it in 11th place.

Ten’s The Bachelor and Wonderland also failed to make the top 10, in 15th and 17th places.

Completing the top 10 were Seven’s Today Tonight (fourth place, 936,000 viewers), ABC News (fifth place, 914,000), Nine’s A Current Affair (sixth place, 913,000), and Seven’s Home and Away (seventh place, 876,000).
