Media Monitoring Firm Streem Launches Instant Insights

Streem, a challenger media monitoring and analysis company with customers including the AFL, Samsung, ANZ, the ATO and Myer, is today introducing Instant Insights.
Instant Insights allows customers to quickly and accurately gain insights from their media coverage across Print, Online, TV, Radio and Social.
While Streem already delivers speed, accuracy and flexibility in its media monitoring platform, the Instant Insights tool will for the first time allow customers to derive analysis of media as-it-happens.
The tool will make it fast and simple to garner insights from coverage about an organisation, competitor, spokesperson or issue, straight from the customer’s existing media monitoring brief.
While human-guided media analysis reports remain a key offering, Instant Insights lets customers extract valuable data on the performance of earned media coverage from a single dashboard within Streem’s real-time media intelligence platform.
Streem business lead Elgar Welch said: “Customers have told us they want a mix of media analysis.
“Long form, human-guided analysis might be done on a quarterly basis but customers want fast and simple tools they can use themselves to spread visual take-aways and interesting insights through their organisation.”
The Instant Insights tool will be integrated into Streem’s realtime media intelligence platform which is available across Desktop, Tablet and Mobile.
A customer will be able to instantly create charts and data for simple insights like media coverage volumes, key publications and journalists, through to more advanced insights like share of voice, potential audience reach, competitor benchmarking and coverage themes.
With each insight being separate and unique, a customer will be able to customise and export charts on-demand and drop these into internal reports or make them available to stakeholders.
“The idea is that a media team can identify the insight they need, customise the date range and theming, and be delivered the insight for export within a minute or two,” Welch said.
“The way we develop new product at Streem means we’re continually pushing out new features and incremental improvements based on customer feedback.
“We don’t believe in large, once a year releases and that’s also a product of all our development team being in-house at Surry Hills.”
Existing customers will see Instant Insights rolled out across the Streem platform from today.
