McDonald’s Imagines A Dystopian 2068 In Futuristic Spot For Big Mac’s 50th

Burger behemoth McDonald’s is imagining the future in 50 years’ time in a new spot promoting the 50th anniversary of the Big Mac.

The ad, for McDonald’s Spain, is the work of TBWA Spain and was directed by El Cangrejo at Lee Films.

The rather bleak work shows a disengaged worker struggling with a host of imagined new technologies – including armless umbrellas, hologram computers and AI.

A voiceover announces that “a lot can change, except the things that will never change” with the accompanying caption: “Welcome to the next 50 years of the Big Mac.” Check out the spot and fear the future below:
