Matt Preston’s 10 Return Might Mean He Is Cooking Something Up With The Network

Matt Preston’s 10 Return Might Mean He Is Cooking Something Up With The Network

Food critic and television personality, Matt Preston returned to Network 10 last night for The Masked Singer.

Preston built his television profile as a judge during the glory days of MasterChef. Back when the cooking show would net over a million viewers.

Preston was part of the iconic original consisting of restaurateur Gary Mehiga and chef George Calombaris. However, in 2019 the judging panel was replaced with food critic Melissa Leong, restaurateur Jock Zonfrillo and series 4 winner and chef Andy Allen.

So why was it so remarkable that Preston returned to 10 on The Masked Singer?

Well, after being cut from MasterChef, Preston famously jumped ship to Seven with fellow Masterchef Judge, Calombaris, for the short-lived show, Plate of Origin, which also starred Manu Feildel.

He is now starring in the season of Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, which leaves the impression that he is a strictly Seven star now!

However, last night Preston was unveiled on Masked Singer as the Gnome! What does this mean exactly? Well, maybe nothing! But, it could also mean that Preston could return to the 10 Network in the future.

If he is prepared to wear a Gnome suit, a stint on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here! Doesn’t seem like an impossible ask.
