Matt Pearce Promoted To Clems Melbourne Planning Director

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has announced the promotion of Matt Pearce (main photo) to the role of planning director.

During his five years with the agency, Pearce has acted as lead planner on some of the agency’s most successful work, including the widely awarded campaigns ‘Meet Graham’ for TAC and ‘Hungerithm’ for Snickers.

Beyond those campaigns, Matt Pearce’s time at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has seen him amass an enviable body of work and clients including MARS Chocolate, TAC, Mattel, CUB and DrinkWise.

Clemenger BBDO’s executive planning director Paul Rees-Jones said of the appointment: “Planning at Clemenger BBDO is a practice founded in the truthful exploration of the human condition to create work that’s hard to imagine or ignore. That requires a level curiosity, logic and lateralness that is a rare combination to find in any single individual but we have it in Matt. His impact on the work and generous nature is something the agency and clients value enormously and to have this talent as part of the planning leadership is exciting for us all.”

Pearce said, “I’ve always truly valued the work we’ve made at Clemenger BBDO during my time here, and it’s an honour to be recognised with the new role during the huge success of our work for TAC and SNICKERS. I’m looking forward to continuing to help solve our client’s tricky problems and creating great work that works.”
