MasterChef Australia enjoyed another Thursday night ratings bump as reality fanatics turned to Ten for their fix.
MasterChef was the fifth most watched program of the night and was tantalisingly close to the magic million mark with 987,000 viewers.
The jump elevated Ten’s total share of all free-to-air viewers to 21.1% with 14.7% going to its primary channel.
Seven lost Thursday night’s ratings race as its news programs and extended episode of Home and Away failed to win the network the majority of FTA viewers on its House Rules-free night.
Nine won Thursday night overall with a total 28.8% of all FTA viewers with 20.9% choosing the network’s primary channel, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.
Seven sat in second place on 25.8% with 17.5% going to tis main channel.
Seven did have Thursday night’s most watched show with Seven News (1.149 million). But it had only two other top 10 programs with Seven News/Today Tonight (1.039 million) and Home and Away (860,000) compared to Nine’s 5 top 10 shows.
Nine’s most watched show was Nine News (1.136 million).
The ABC sat on total 18.3% last night with 13.2% for ABC1.
SBS won a total 5.9% with 4.7% going to SBS ONE.
