Mastercard has partnered with Craft Worldwide and electriclimefilms to create a film focusing on innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability ahead of Expo 2020 Dubai.

As the globally anticipated event’s official payments partner, Mastercard was keen to exhibit its own technological advancements.

The film was shot over four days, in several locations, from the Ajman’s mangroves to the breathtaking expo site itself, which served as backdrops to a host of characters representing different ages and nationalities.

International directors, Brazil’s Pedro Tejada and Josep Pardo, wanted the film to emphasise the Expo’s themes of togetherness, while also celebrating its diversity.

As well as onsite shooting, the Mastercard film used innovative in-studio projectors and holograms, as well as post-production CGI to fully encapsulate the futuristic and technological feel of the Expo’s vision and Mastercard’s advancements.
