The creation of the ad marks only the third time that the Estate of Martin Luther King, Jr. has granted outside entity rights to the famous speech.




As a tribute to Martin Luther King Day and Black History Month, NBA’s advertising agency Translation has created a moving commercial for the 2014-2015 season that celebrates how far the league has come in the past 60 years.

The “Breaking Barriers” video features audio of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech paired with black and white clips of monumental “firsts” throughout the NBA’s history.
