WPP AUNZ Launches ‘The Bond & Associates’

Advertising conglomerate WPP AUNZ has launched an innovative new stakeholder and community engagement practice called The Bond & Associates.

Led by newly-appointed national director and former Newgate Australia adviser Gail Morgan (pictured above), The Bond & Associates will provide a complete solution for both government and private sector clients involved in complex public projects and services.

By tapping into the WPP AUNZ’s 5500-strong talent pool, The Bond & Associates offers skills in research, data, policy, communication and engagement, government sector expertise, plus digital and social media professionals with diverse cultural and linguistic capability.

Kieran Moore, CEO of WPP AUNZ PR & PA, said: “We understand that our clients are navigating increasingly complex operating environments.

“Dealing with three, four or more agencies in different locations to deliver the communications required for these projects is now a thing of the past.

“The Bond & Associates has been designed to give clients one point of access to the breadth of capabilities and services needed to engage effectively, without adding complexity to the agency management process.

“With unprecedented infrastructure spending across the country and greater focus expected on service and policy delivery in the future, the demand is already high with further growth in this sector expected.

“Teamed with an increased understanding by all governments of the critical influence stakeholders can play on policy and service delivery, the time is right for us to create a competitive offer in this space, for the current and future requirements of clients.”

Moore said a great leader with broad business, policy, political and government experience was needed to lead The Bond & Associates – a requirement met by Morgan.

Prior to joining Newgate, Morgan worked at several not-for-profit organisations, and also spent time with WPP AUNZ government relations firm Hawker Britton, in addition to working as an advisor to a number of senior government representatives.

“Gail brings outstanding experience in strategic communications, public policy and stakeholder engagement after more than two decades working at the highest levels in the Federal Government and business,” Moore said.

“She is a top operator with a strong pedigree in both government, private sector and agency environments.

“Her experience in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement is sought after, having worked at both the federal and state level on a wide range of policy issues.

“Importantly, she also shares our vision and ambition to bring a fresh offer to the market and I’m looking forward to working with her to bring together the best of WPP AUNZ for our clients.”

Commenting on her new role, Morgan said: “I am thrilled to be re-joining WPP AUNZ and leading this exciting new offer. I believe the ability to tap into the vast pool of talent, insights and experience of the group for the benefit of our clients will be compelling.

“Stakeholder and community engagement has never been more important and from my experience. Clients are looking for smarter and more sophisticated engagement strategies embedded into the design of services, infrastructure, policies and programs.

“This not only improves community outcomes, but is critical for private sector and government investment success.”
