World First For University Of NSW With Live Stream Video

Yesterday was an exciting time for students around Australia who had been hopeful of gaining acceptance to University.

While most students received an email letting them know if they were successful, UNSW sent emails containing a personalised video, made just for them.

Some 10,000 lucky students not only received guaranteed entry to UNSW they received their very own video, announcing their success and the course / preference they have been accepted for.

The technology was made possible by Smart Video Australia. SVA wrote and produced the video and recorded greetings to over 4000 unique student names.

Each video was dynamic, streamed in real time and triggered by a Smart Video Australia API that was implemented through UNSW’s existing EDM program.

Smart Video Australia’s cloud based platform is a convergence of video, data and personalisation. It allows videos to be delivered to an infinite sized database, in real time.

There is no limit to the elements that can be customised including text, audio and image.

Smart Video Australia’s other clients include Specsavers, MasterCard UK, Westfield and two top 10 financial services companies.
