Woolworth’s Petrol Joins Nexba In The Fight Against Sugar

Beverage brand Nexba has announces another victory in the fight to curb harmful sugar consumption, with its range of naturally ZERO sugar Super Infusions range now available in 330 Woolworth’s Petrol stores across Australia.

Troy Douglas, co-founder and brand director at Nexba, said the announcement is another massive milestone for the business and demonstrates that Australian retailers recognise there is growing demand for healthy alternatives to sugar soft drinks.

“Australia is facing a sugar crisis. One in four children and more than 60 per cent of adults are overweight or obese, but these figures aren’t too surprising when you consider that a mere 600ml bottle of sugar-sweetened drink contains up to 16 teaspoons of sugar. Our goal is to ensure that Australians have ‘better-for-you’ alternatives in all of their favourite stores, so that we can help curb harmful sugar consumption and take shelf space away from the multinational brands who profit from Australia’s sugar addiction,” said Douglas.

Drew Bilble, Nexba co-founder and operations director said: “The Nexba Super Infusions are healthier options for people who want to cut down on their sugar intake, without sacrificing on taste. By partnering with Woolworth’s Petrol and other trusted national retailers, we plan to continue delivering better-for-you choices in the store aisle and demanding more from the big beverage giants who make the sugar sodas, teas and sports drinks that currently dominate the retail shelf space”.

Nexba Super Infusions are sweetened with Erythritol, a natural sugar substitute that matches great taste of sugar without the high calorie count, impact on blood sugar levels or tooth decay.

Customers can now pick up two of Nexba’s super-fruit infused flavours, Acai Berry and Pomegranate, which boast zero sugar and only 17.2 calories in each 500ml glass bottle.
