Poll: BMW Drivers Voted The Rudest On The Road

German marque BMW might need to consider a new marketing strategy after drivers of its sports coupe, the M3 (main photo), were voted the most rudest drivers on the road.

Admittedly, the poll was taken in the UK and had Range Rover drivers come in second in the rude stakes followed by Audi TT drivers in third spot.

The poll was done by British cable TV channel Dave and featured the votes of over 2000 UK drivers. It also revealed that 61 per cent of voters believed their car has a personality and 53 per cent confessed to giving their car a name.

“Our affinity and love for cars means we love to give a personal touch to our motors,” said Luke Hales, general manager at Dave.

“Whether it’s a human name that brings out the personality, a custom modification or pampering and tinkering with the body work and engine.”

The top 10 worst drivers according to the votes were as follows:

  1. BMW M3 (56%)
  2. Range Rover (48%)
  3. Audi TT (43%)
  4. Mercedes-Benz C-class (37%)
  5. Ford Transit Van (36%)
  6. Porsche 911 (31%)
  7. VW Golf (20%)
  8. Vauxhall Corsa (18%)
  9. Nissan Qashqai (15%)
  10. Vauxhall Astra(15%)

The poll also deduced that Mini drivers were the nicest drivers on the roads. The poll’s top 10 nicest car drivers included:

  1. Mini (35%)
  2. Ford Fiesta (32%)
  3. Ford Focus (32%)
