Tic Tac Responds To Donald Trump’s Statements About Women

Over the weekend, The Washington Post published a 2005 conversation between Republican nominee Donald Trump and TV personality Billy Bush where Trump brags about groping women.

Around the one minute mark, Trump namedrops confectionary brand Tic Tacs saying: “I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. (Refering to actress Arianne Zucker). You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

In response to the comments, Tic Tac tweeted:

This isn’t the first time a confectionary brand has responded to the Republican camp’s comments. Last month, Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. tweeted a meme which compared Syrian refugees to a lethal bowl of Skittles:

skittles-trump-768x890Denise Young, Skittles’ VP of corporate affaires, Wrigley Americas said in a statement: “Skittles are candy. Refugees are people. We don’t feel it’s an appropriate analogy. We will respectfully refrain from further commentary as anything we say” .
