Target Does Itself Zero Favours With New OCD Jumper

Another day, another consumer complaint – and today is no different, with Target in strife for making light of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

A Christmas sweater with the words, ‘OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder’, have thrown US Target shoppers into disarray for its offensiveness, and are calling for the retailer to stop selling it.

Crying out for some empathy, consumers are asking the company to pull it from the shelves and “not to sell illness as a fashion statement”, as one person put it.

But Target is sticking to its guns, and said in a statement, “We never want to disappoint our guests, and we apologize for any discomfort. We currently do not have plans to remove this sweater.”

Target is just one of a number of retailers carrying products with the slogan this season, including all of these people in Google.

And it’s not exactly going down well on Twitter:
