Seven-Year-Old Tops YouTube’s Top 10 Earner List For 2018

The top 10 YouTube earners for 2018 have been revealed with (get ready to feel really depressed) a seven-year-old who reviews toys online coming in at the number one spot.

According to the list compiled by Forbes, Ryan, who’s site is called Ryan ToysReview, pulled in a staggering US$22 million ($30.6 million) from reviewing toys and being filmed by his parents.

Ryan’s actual name and his location are a very closely guarded secret and probably for good reason, too.

Make of it what you will, but everyone in the top 10 is male and typically aged in their 20s (owing to YouTube’s younger demographic). Between them, they pulled in a collective $250.5 million for the 12 months to June 2018.

According to Forbes, it calculated its top 10 based on all estimated earnings from June 1, 2017, through June 1, 2018. Figures are pretax and fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted. Earnings estimates are based on data from Captiv8, SocialBlade and Pollstar, as well as interviews with industry insiders.

Here’s the top 10 (all figures are in Aussie dollars):

One: Ryan’s ToyReview ($30.6 million)

Two: Jake Paul ($29.9 million)

Three: Dude Perfect ($27.8 million)

Four: DanTDM ($25.7 million)

Five: Jeffree Star ($25.4 million)

Six: Markiplier ($24.3 million)

Seven: Vanoss Gaming ($23.6 million)

Eight: Jackspeticeye ($22.6 million)

Nine: PewDiePie ($21.5 million)

Ten: Logan Paul ($20.1 million)
