Serena Williams To Become Ambassador For AccorHotels Throughout Australian Open

AccorHotels has announced tennis champion Serena Williams as its official ambassador, set to be the public face of all things advertising, including billboards, digital and social media.

AccorHotels, an official partner of the Australian Open, has locked in the female tennis legend in Australia until 29 February, coinciding with the Australian Open, which kicks off on 18 January.

“Serena Williams is an inspirational athlete and role model and we are extremely proud and excited to partner with her on an event of this calibre to further promote both AccorHotels and Australia as an outstanding sporting and travel destination,” AccorHotels chairman and CEO Asia Pacific Michael Issenberg said.

“AccorHotels has a solid history of supporting sporting excellence and with 21 Grand Slam singles titles, Serena has strong synergies with our brand and our goal to endorse women of influence.”

It’s not the first time AccorHotels has worked with Williams, who is the current Australian Open Female Champion, holding the most major singles, doubles, and mixed doubles titles combined amongst active players, male or female.

The sporting superstar previously hosted VIP events for the hotel brand’s Le Club AccorHotels loyalty members, alongside special guests in both Singapore and Melbourne.

AccorHotels will host the Australian Open 2016 Official Player Party and provide exclusive benefits to members of its Le Club AccorHotels and Accor Plus loyalty programs.
