Schawk Australia Grows With Woolworths

Good news for employment in prepress, with Schawk Australia employing six additional prepress experts for their newly equipped, onsite facility at Woolworth’s Sydney headquarters.

Already a major client of parent company, SGK Australia, Woolworth’s local graphics requirements will now be handled by the local division of global prepress company, Schawk.

The additional onsite staff will take SGK Australia’s workforce to over seventy creative, prepress, sales and support personnel operating from the North Sydney office and key onsite client facilities.

Ryan Sharratt, operations manager, Schawk Australia said, “Growth and new employment in packaging and print is always great news, given the pressures the industry continues to face. We have appointed specialists in prepress retail packaging who understand the unique requirements of onsite client liaison and are able to integrate well within our extensive deployment capabilities”.

“To support our onsite team we have invested in new proofing technology, including one of the first regional installs (Australia and New Zealand) of the Epson SureColor SC P9070. The latest output device from Epson has 11-colour ink settings and also features auto Photo and Matte Black exchange all using UltraChrome HD or HDX inks.

“This all adds up to greater Pantone coverage and colour gamut for Schawk and Woolworths to further enhance its on-shelf packaging appeal.

“The Schawk Australia team is looking forward to significantly contributing to the strong relations SGK maintains with iconic retailer, Woolworths. We now truly offer the company the convenience and savings of end to end service – Development to Deployment.”
