Qantas & Tourism WA Bring State’s Finest To Melbourne In New Campaign Via Banter

Qantas and Tourism Western Australia have partnered with experiential marketing and events agency Banter to give Victorians the opportunity to experience the state’s breath-taking scenery, culture and food and wine in Melbourne’s Federation Square.

Termed the ‘WorkPlayce’ for its two unique ‘work’ and ‘play’-themed rooms, the free interactive three-day pop up allows participants to work remotely or unwind while being immersed in the sights and sounds of WA.

Highlighting a different WA region each day, the ‘play’ space offers an interactive experience of WA with activities including a live demonstration of pearl harvesting from Broome, a virtual reality swim with whale sharks in Ningaloo Reef, and a photography tutorial.

Qantas and Tourism WA will also offer complimentary beer, wine and food (such as fresh Exmouth prawns) to entice Victorians to consider WA as their next holiday destination.

The ‘work’ space is a remote working room with WiFi, power ports and refreshments, featuring WA destinations on large screen TVs; from the natural wonders of Kings Park, to a sunset at Cottesloe Beach.

Aimed toward city workers, this space offers the chance to step away from an office and work in a productive environment while experiencing the sights, sounds and tastes of WA.

For those looking for last minute Valentine’s Day plans, guests who book an evening session can indulge in treats from a WA chocolatier and wine from a WA vineyard.

Visitors will be greeted by Qantas cabin crew and can experience the 787 Dreamliner Business class suite.

The Qantas Dreamliner will begin flying to London via Perth from late March, and passengers (including those already booked on the service) can extend their stay in Perth for no extra charge.

Over the course of the three-day activation, visitors can also enter a competition to win return Qantas tickets to Perth, allowing them to experience the destinations they may have learned about at the WorkPlayce.

The site will be open from Tuesday 13 February to Thursday 15 February. Visitors can walk in or pre-book a session via Eventbrite, while group sessions can also be booked for team brainstorms.
