PRIA Elects New President & Deputy President

The Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) has elected Sylvia Bell as national president and Liane Sayer-Roberts as deputy national president for the next year.

Bell (pictured above, left) and Sayer-Roberts bring extensive PR and communications expertise to the PRIA board.

In accepting the roles, both Bell and Sayer-Roberts praised outgoing national president Jenny Muir (pictured above, right) and deputy president Jacquie Ray for their dedication and contributions to the PRIA over the last two years.

“Jenny and Jacquie have reinvigorated the PRIA, delivering new masterclasses with global and national subject experts, achieving record entries for the prestigious Golden Target Awards in 2017, new training partnerships with HSPR, and the ongoing accreditation of 18 university courses,” Bell said.

“In 2018, the PRIA also launched the prestigious Donald Dyer Scholarship for two PhD recipients, demonstrating its commitment to professional development and learning of all members.

“Liane and I are excited to be leading the PRIA board and picking up the baton that’s been so capably carried by Jenny and Jacquie, and we are looking forward to further increasing support and engagement for our profession.”
