Nicola Swankie Joins Red Engine SCC As Head Of Innovation

Continuing to drive innovation for clients in the digital sphere, independent creative content agency Red Engine SCC is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicola Swankie to the newly created role of head of innovation, effective immediately.

With over 10 years’ global experience in social media and content marketing, Swankie joins Red Engine SCC with a remit to help clients develop and navigate their social and digital content roadmap by providing innovative marketing solutions that keep pace with today’s fast evolving digital space.

Her previous role as managing director of SOCiETY Social saw her establish and lead the social agency within the IPG Mediabrands network, building a team of over 20 and working across four states with clients including Coca-Cola, Nova, Tourism Queensland, Coles and TEDxSydney.

Prior to that, Swankie founded one of the earliest social media teams for internationally awarded Leo Burnett Sydney. As social media director, she was responsible for the social strategy direction across all clients. Previous to this, she was content and social director at The Conscious Organisation, where she systemised their social media offering.

Overseeing Red Engine SCC’s national client roster, Swankie is based in Melbourne and will also work closely with agency director and head of strategy, Kate Richardson, to build out the agency’s ongoing growth in Victoria.

Commenting on her appointment, Swankie said, “When I started talking to Red Engine SCC what really struck me about the agency are its unique skills in delivering engaging and sharable video content that is backed up by strong digital strategy.”

“Social and Digital are quickly evolving so that video, immersive experiences, 360 and VR are all becoming a core part of how brands can connect with people on these channels, as well as giving us so many new ways and possibilities to engage audiences. I’m really excited about the prospect of working with a creative team at the cutting edge of this space in Australia,” she added.
