Man Claims ALDI Foot Deodoriser Is Repackaged Women’s Deodorant From Rival Coles

An unnamed man has posted a picture to his Reddit account that he claims shows a can of Coles women’s deodorant repackaged and sold off as ALDI shoe deodoriser.

The Reddit user, that goes by the user name of Cl3f, appears to infer that when he removed the plastic packaging for the shoe product he bought it was actually a can of  ‘Coles Cool Fresh for Women’ anti-perspirant.

A report on The Daily Mail suggested the ingredients in the deodorant were exactly the same as those spruiked on the wrapping for the foot deodoriser, although the latter also added in a mysterious ingredient known as diclosan (despite B&T’s best efforts, we have no idea what diclosan is.)

Social media debated whether it was a case of ALDI pulling a swifty or merely a recycled can that didn’t get recycled very well.

The man at the centre of the deodorising storm posted: “I’m assuming that Coles canceled that line and the company that made it had to come up with another use for the preprinted cans.”

Neither ALDI nor Coles have made any comment.
