Magnum & Co Lands HomeAway Account

Holiday rental company HomeAway – formerly Stayz in Australia and Bookabach in New Zealand – has appointed Magnum & Co as its retained agency across the trans-Tasman, following a competitive pitch.

The appointment will see the agency handle all integrated communications for HomeAway Australia and New Zealand specifically across influencer marketing, earned media, content creation, and social and digital strategy.

The relationship comes at an important time, with the rebrand of Stayz and Bookabach to HomeAway to align with the global Austin-based brand.

Simone McDermid, PR and communications manager at HomeAway, said: “We are pleased to announce that Magnum & Co have come on board as our integrated communications agency after a competitive pitch earlier this year.

“We look forward to them being our partners as we go through our brand transition here in Australia and in New Zealand.”

Katie Barclay, managing partner at Magnum & Co, said: “Winning this work with HomeAway speaks volumes for the creativity and drive of the Magnum team, and recognises our ability to deliver larger brand campaigns.

“It’s great to be working with such a forward-thinking bunch of people at HomeAway who really do believe a good idea can come from anywhere. We’re excited about what we can achieve together.”
