Kate & Co. Announces New Hires In Melbourne & Sydney

Independent PR agency Kate & Co. Publicity and Events has announced a number of new appointments across its Melbourne and Sydney offices.

In Melbourne, Kate & Co. has welcomed Daniella Sorace as account director and Madeleine Clark as account manager, while the agency’s Sydney office has welcomed Irene Manyk as senior account manager and has successfully sponsored Jennifer Norris as account manager.

Sorace, brings over 10 years’ experience to Kate & Co. spanning the fashion, retail and consumer industries, having worked for Myer, the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) Flemington and AMPR. Most recently, she worked in-house at L’Oréal.

Manyk joins Kate & Co.’s Sydney the team with more than eight years’ experience in the PR and marketing industries. She has worked across luxury and high street fashion, as well as lifestyle brands including Sir the Label, and Bellini.

Manyk also previously worked at Sweaty Betty on clients such as Levi’s, Mix at Coles, Ice Watch and Camper.

Clark was previously a publicist at the Nine Network for five-and-a-half years before joining Kate & Co.’s Melbourne team as an account manager.

At Nine, Clark played a pivotal role in many network publicity campaigns and events in both Melbourne and Sydney, and was a network publicist on acclaimed renovation reality program The Block.

Norris has vast PR and events experience across the technology, health, beauty and general consumer lifestyle sectors.

From London in the UK, she has worked both in-house and in agency on international brands including Coca Cola, GSK, Johnson & Johnson and Panasonic.

Kate & Co. director Kate Bensimon said: “Our new stellar line up kicks off a new chapter for Kate & Co, which strengthens our business proposition across the two major cities and will assist in building our already impressive client portfolio.

“Our team has always been a huge priority of ours, and we’re pleased to welcome Daniella and Irene, who will not only underpin our senior management teams in each state, but impart their extensive knowledge and expertise to the wider staff, plus also Jennifer and Madeleine, who will become valuable account leads.”

In addition, the Kate & Co. team recently promoted Elif Yilmaz to senior account executive, after she joined the team from MECCA in an account coordinator role.

The recent appointments cement a successful year for the agency, off the back of being shortlisted as a finalist for PR Campaign of the Year and Best Use of Sponsorship for this year’s B&T Awards for the ‘Runway in the Sky’ campaign for Virgin Australia, part of their sponsorship of the Melbourne Fashion Festival.
