Ahead of the holiday gift-giving period, Instagram is introducing three new ways for users to shop on Instagram.
The Facebook-owned social media platform is launching tools to discover new products, shop favourite brands and keep track of shopping inspiration in one place.
Here are the three new ways to shop on Instagram:
- Save new shopping collection: Users can now save items to their shopping collection by tapping a product tag in Stories or Feed, and then tapping the ‘Save’ icon in the bottom right corner to save it to their shopping collection.
- Easily shop on business profiles: Instagram has re-designed the ‘Shop’ tab on business profiles so users can quickly view all the products featured in a business profile’s shopping posts by tapping the ‘Shop’ button to see the business profile’s products, and further details, such as the item name, price, and the post featuring the item.
- Shopping in Feed videos: Users can now shop directly from videos they view in their Feed from a brand they follow by tapping the shopping icon in the bottom left corner to reveal the featured products and to learn more about them.
The new tools come just under two months after Instagram announced two significant updates for how consumers interact with Shopping posts.
