Harvey Norman & Coles Jump On Christmas with The Australian Women’s Weekly Sponsorship

Coles and Harvey Norman are gearing up for the festive season as the newest sponsors of Christmas with the Weekly – The Australian Women’s Weekly’s signature Christmas sponsorship opportunity that includes a Channel 9 special, Christmas with The Australian Women’s Weekly.

Christmas with the Weekly is an integrated sponsorship platform, reaching millions of primary grocery buyers across TV, print, social and digital channels.

General Manager – women’s lifestyle and entertainment, Jayne Ferguson, said Christmas with the Weekly is an institution that brings the festive season to life for people across Australia.

Christmas with the Weekly content supports people’s holiday needs from baking and entertaining to fashion, gifts, homes and decorating. 1.2 million women turn to The Australian Women’s Weekly for powerful storytelling, recipe ideas, and Christmas inspiration.

“This makes Christmas with the Weekly an excellent integrated sponsorship opportunity for our advertisers looking to create Christmas customers. We are delighted that Coles and Harvey Norman are taking part.”

Coles Fresh advisor and chef, Curtis Stone, will appear in cooking segments on the Channel 9 TV special to showcase Australian Christmas favourites.

“Our customers have told us they want to stun their families and friends with their Christmas spread, so we’re excited Chef Curtis Stone can help inspire Australians with his specially created Coles recipes through our sponsorship of Christmas with the Weekly. We also have more new products than ever before so our customers can surprise and delight their guests without breaking the bank,” said Coles chief customer officer, Simon McDowell said.

Content will be filmed at the Harvey Norman test kitchens in Alexandria showcasing their range of appliances.

“An Australian Christmas table is a visual and edible feast of colour, tastes and flavour. Harvey Norman is delighted to be able to assist Australians in bringing their Christmas menu to life with our state-of-the-art appliances that enable the latest techniques in food preparation and presentation. We are looking forward to working with The Australian Women’s Weekly to bring the festive spirit into your home” said Generic Publications deputy general manager Samantha Waters.

This year’s TV special is hosted by Sylvia Jeffreys, news presenter of Nine’s Today show and is scheduled to air on Saturday the 25th November at 7.00pm, Friday, 24th November at 7.30pm in Brisbane with the magazine on sale on Monday the 27th November.

In a demonstration of the successful partnership between the magazine and Channel 9, The Australian Women’s Weekly will be presenting another seasonal TV special, this time for Easter 2018. This new broadcast offering gives advertisers the opportunity to integrate messaging across both The Australian Women’s Weekly and Channel 9 platforms during Easter.
