Frost*collective Appoints a COO

Recently restructured independent creative company, Frost*collective, has appointed management veteran Craig McCaffery to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.

He will lead the management team across all agencies within the collective, namely Frost* Design, Urbanite and The Nest.

McCaffery, who brings with him more than 20 years local and international senior management experience in marketing, finance and operations roles, will report to CEO and Executive Creative Director, Vince Frost. Most recently running strategy and advisory consultancy, Lateral Management, McCaffery previously held the position of COO at US-based brand consultancy, Sterling Brands.

McCaffery will be responsible for optimising business planning and strategy, and driving cohesive and efficient operations across Frost*collective. He will also lead the new management team which includes Carlo Giannasca, head of environmental design practice, Urbanite, Stuart Buchanan of digital agency, The Nest, and Rennae Long, who heads up Frost* Design, which specialises in brand and communications work.

Frost*collective recently restructured to become a group of separate specialist agencies which have each become their own business entity, sitting beneath the umbrella company. Vince Frost says the creation of the COO role and the appointment of McCaffery to the position is integral to the successful implementation of the restructure and will support further growth for the company.

“Craig is an exceptionally experienced Chief Operating Officer and has a great track record of building business success”, said Frost, who will remain focused on creative outputs, external networking and building new business opportunities.

“Becoming Frost*collective is about crystallising the long term vision for the business and the role of COO is a critical one in terms of realising those plans.  Craig’s abilities and talents are highly impressive and I’m very excited to have him on my team. This appointment is the final piece in the puzzle and it’s a great fit.”

McCaffery, who officially starts in the role on Monday, says joining Frost*collective brings him back to the kind of agency environment in which he thrives.

“Frost*collective is a globally recognised creative force and the international vision for the company is very exciting. I hope the business skills I’m bringing to the collective will help us reach those goals and ensure our bespoke offerings are world class. Being part of a strong team in an agency environment is where my passion lies and the direction that Frost*collective are taking is energising. It’s a great time to be here”.
