Former Apple And Spotify Manager Radinck Van Vollenhoven As Country Manager for Stocard

The mobile wallet app Stocard, which lets users store all their loyalty cards in one place, is setting its sights on collaborations with Australian retailers thanks to the announcement of Radinck van Vollenhoven as AU/NZ Country Manager.

Prior to Stocard, Radinck worked for Apple and Spotify building their Australian markets and said working in an industry that makes life faster and better is the main driver for him to continue working in the technology and startup industry.

“I’m driven to work in an industry that aims to simplify and improve lives,” he said.

Stocard surpassed 1million Australian users in July this year. The app was founded by Björn Goß, David Handlos and Florian Barth after Björn and David road-tripped around Australia in 2010 with an app following shortly in June 2011, was originally created to combat the chaos a bunch of plastic cards can cause in a wallet.

“About two-thirds of all Australians use a smartphone and 86 per cent of them are members of at least one loyalty program,” said Radinck. “With a growing base of Australian users, Stocard equally presents a huge marketing potential for retailers.”

“Thanks to the ability to deliver offers and discounts to customers via mobile devices there’s unexplored opportunity for our partner retailers to use Stocard as a direct communication channel to loyal customers.

“I envisage Stocard growing into a must-use engagement and marketing channel for all leading Australian retailers and primary mobile wallet for all Australian shoppers.”
