This Is Not A Drill! Deliveroo’s Giving Away Free Burgers Today! (But You Have To Be In The Sydney CBD)

Deliveroo is unveiling Australia’s first edible billboard made entirely out of burgers, all of which are free for hungry pedestrians to enjoy.

The billboard, standing at a whopping six metres high and four metres wide, has been assembled to encourage Aussies everywhere to embrace their ‘food freedom’, while celebrating Deliveroo having sold five million burgers since their arrival three years ago in Australia.

Deliveroo has revealed that burgers are one of Australia’s favourite meals to order.

For that reason, the live billboard has been constructed using over 2,000 burgers from Deliveroo’s most popular burger joints.

Beef-averse burger lovers need not fear, veggie and chicken options will be available too.

The wall will be filled with favourites from KFC, Mary’s, Burger Project, Ribs & Burgers, BL Burgers, Belles Hot Chicken, Ume Burger, Betty’s Burgers & 8bit all under one… billboard!?

Deliveroo’s country manager, Levi Aron said: “It’s clear that Aussies are huge fans of the burger!

“We want to take a moment to celebrate our five million milestone by giving away over 2,000 burgers to Deliveroo customers.”

The burger billboard created in conjunction with FRANK PR will be open to the public from 12 pm to 6 pm (or until stocks run out) on the 4th April at Martin Place, Sydney.

The top 10 list of Australia’s most popular burgers on Deliveroo are:

  • Altered Beast – 8bit
  • American Cheese – Burger Project
  • Belles Chicken Sandwich – Belles Hot Chicken
  • The Betty’s Classic – Betty’s Burgers
  • Cheeseburger – BL Burgers
  • Huxtaburger – Huxtaburger
  • Old School Cheese – Ribs & Burgers
  • Mary’s Burger – Mary’s
  • Ume Burger – Ume Burger
  • Zinger® Burger – KFC
