Chris Henderson Promoted To Managing Director Australia For MullenLowe Profero

MullenLowe Profero, the digital arm of global creative network MullenLowe Group, today named Chris Henderson as the new Managing Director of Australia.

As managing director, Henderson will be responsible for managing the MullenLowe Profero Sydney team, with a remit to capitalise on a successful 15 years that has seen the office grow to become the fourth largest MullenLowe Profero office and a centre of excellence in customer experience strategy and platform development.

MullenLowe Profero Sydney currently works with a growing portfolio of clients including Brown-Forman, Danone Nutricia, Peninsula Hotels, Pizza Hut, QIC, HSBC, Nespresso and Western Union.

Currently client services director for MullenLowe Profero Sydney, Henderson’s promotion follows a hugely successful international career that includes the launch of the agency’s Customer Experience offering with QIC, and nine years of strategic account leadership including Account Director at AKQA Amsterdam, working on prestigious accounts including Nike, EA, Johnnie Walker and Philips.

The announcement comes as MullenLowe Profero prepares to upscale their operations with a new larger office on Sydney’s Cleveland Street.

Henderson replaces current MD Dave Bentley, who leaves MullenLowe Profero after eight successful years, including nearly seven leading Australian operations. Having grown the local business by 180 per cent, Bentley is leaving to spend time with his family and pursue a yet undisclosed venture.

Bentley welcomed an internal MD promotion as a signal of the strength of the talent across the region.

“Chris is both an exceptional strategic and commercial talent, and one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of working with. He has a fantastic vision for where the business should be heading, and has had a profound impact on our client relationships and the quality of challenger work we produce,” Bentley commented.

“Supported by a world-class leadership team in Ashadi Hopper, Richard Szalay and Rebecca Ringrose, I couldn’t be happier to hand the reins to Chris and I wish him and MullenLowe Profero all the best in the future.”

Chris Henderson added, “The last two years with MullenLowe Profero have given me a unique insight into what drives the success of such a distinctive and interesting organisation. Like many of our clients, our industry is also transforming to understand the value derived from focussing on people and the emotional and rational benefits that products, services and brands can deliver to them.

“By blending technology and data with creativity and design thinking we can help solve business challenges from the customer’s perspective. That’s extremely exciting for us and I’m honoured to lead such a talented team who share that mission.”
