Campaign: How Will We Serve Their Memory?

In a collaboration with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Brisbane-based ad agency Engine has concepted a multimedia campaign that asks Queenslanders, ‘How will we serve their memory?’

The campaign commemorates the centenary of the First World War and is a moving tribute to the 57,705 Queenslanders who served their country during this time.

The integrated campaign includes activity in TV, press, radio, digital, cinema & media relations and a dedicated online presence was developed to support the campaign.

Engine managing director Tim Weger says, “The letters themselves are incredibly powerful and moving communications in their own right.  It was a humbling experience to shine a spotlight on them through this campaign.”

Engine creative director Kory Mcavoy says, “To work on something so meaningful was such a gift for us at Engine. It was an incredibly touching campaign to create – from digging deep into the worlds of all our ancestors, all the way through to finding the most respectful way to give their stories a voice on behalf of them. We had an amazing team from the industry and also client side who were all as equally passionate about the authenticity of this campaign as we were.”
