APD Chief Scott Player Announces Departure

The chief executive of APD, Scott Player, has announced he is leaving the GrowthOps-owned consulting and marketing business after taking charge just over 18 months ago.

Player revealed his decision to leave APD in a LinkedIn post yesterday, saying he was taking time off from work while he and his wife expect a second child.

Player later told B&T that he stepped down from his role a couple of weeks ago.

Prior to joining APD in 2017, Player was the CEO of Ansible – a role he held for more than two-and-a-half years.

Player is the director and founder of Ordermentum, an ordering and payments platform for the food and beverage industry.

He is also the co-founder of mobile based pre-ordering, payments and loyalty platform Hey You (formerly Beat the Q), as well as creative and digital business Airborne, where he was also managing director for five years.

Player has also previously worked at Austereo (now Southern Cross Austereo) and TIAS, and IT and digital solutions provider in the n the B2B and B2B2C travel space.

GrowthOps declined to comment when contacted by B&T.
