Adidas Says Sorry For Congrats Email To Boston Marathon “Survivors”

Adidas has been forced to apologise after using a very poor choice of words in a marketing email sent out to those who ran in the Boston Marathon earlier this week.

The email was quickly shared across social media, with its subject line reading “Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!”

It was at the very same event just four years ago where two bombs exploded near the finish line, killing three people were killed and injuring 260 more.

The poorly-worded email forced Adidas into damage control, with the brand issuing a statement saying it was “incredibly sorry” about the “insensitive” subject line.

However, that didn’t stop Twitterers from having a go at the sports brand.
