marie claire and Tech Ready Women have joined forces to launch a two-day workshop to help women develop their own business start-ups.
Says Nicky Briger (main photo), editor of marie claire: “Through this partnership, we’ll provide entrepreneurial women with the crucial digital tools needed to transform an idea from concept through to creation in just 48 hours.
“Our face-to-face program is unique in market, being hands-on and outcome-driven, complete with resources, templates and hacks to ensure your concept shifts from side hustle to success.”
During the two-day masterclass, attendees will hear from some of Australia’s top entrepreneurs and tech experts including Mon Purse founder Lana Hopkins, theright.fit CEO/founder Taryn Williams, Glamazon co-founder Lauren Silvers, Hear Us Roar founder Blaise McCann and Shop You co-founder/CMO Emma Sharley.
Says Christie Whitehill, founder of Tech Ready Women: “This custom-built workshop reflects both Tech Ready Women and maire claire’s commitment to closing the gender gap through access to education, mentoring and introductions to the wider start-up community.
“Meeting your mentors in a non-intimidating environment helps to nurture, validate and refine business ideas and we look forward to empowering attendees with concrete, actionable steps needed to supercharge successful business journeys.”
The two-day workshop will be held on May 25 and 26 at Dexus Place – a premium high-tech collaborative work and conference space in Sydney’s CBD, specifically designed to foster innovation and drive productivity among entrepreneurs and small businesses – and is open to only 40 women to allow the mentors and educators to interact closely to develop and refine ideas.
Chris Hynes, Dexus’ Head of Office and Industrial Leasing says: “We are delighted to host marie claire’s Tech Ready Women workshop at Dexus Place, Sydney. Dexus is passionate about diversity and innovation, so it was a natural fit to partner with marie claire to support entrepreneurial women and hold this event at Dexus Place.”
