Old Spice may have set the benchmark for using its men’s grooming ads to skewer tired tropes of marketing to blokes and it appears the latest brand on the block, Eos, is continuing in a similar and equally hilarious way.
The American shaving cream brand has just released two ads that joyfully poke fun at fellas and the often clichéd terminology featured in a lot of advertising aimed at men.
Called “Unmanhandle Your Face”, the spots are the work of New York-based creative agency Mischief @ No Fixed Address.
Eos predicts the US men’s skincare market will grow by 25 per cent in the next three years with most interest coming from the Gen Zs.
Commenting on the work, Eos CMO Soyoung Kang, said: “We’ve found immense success and extreme growth in our women’s business by stepping away from how things are usually done in the skincare industry and prioritising fun, speed, and realness with how the brand talks and engages with its community.”
