Mamamia To Live Stream Women’s Big Bash League Matches

Cricket Australia and women’s site Mamamia have signed a digital partnership to take the Rebel WBBL to a bigger audience than ever before.

Just a few months from the start of WBBL|03, the partnership between Mamamia and Cricket Australia Digital is set to build upon the success of the first two seasons of the Rebel WBBL and expose even more people to high quality and highly entertaining cricket played by some of the most talented players from around Australia and the world.

The partnership will see Mamamia carry all 47 of Cricket Australia’s livestreamed Rebel WBBL matches this season, complementing the 12 WBBL matches set to be broadcast on Network Ten, while one highlights video of each match throughout the season will be shared across Mamamia’s website and social media channels to further expand the reach of the trendsetting women’s competition.

In addition to match coverage, the partnership will also see Mamamia working with Cricket Australia to create compelling content to inspire women and girls to be involved in all aspects of the game, celebrate WBBL players as role models on and off the field, and help to firmly establish cricket as a real career choice for women.

The partnership will ensure that cricket is continuing to lead the way in terms of coverage of women’s sport in Australia, according to Cricket Australia head of digital, Finn Bradshaw.

Partnering with Cricket Australia adds to the diversity of Mamamia’s already unique content offering allowing Australian women to champion the successes of the WBBL athletes, according to Mamamia head of marketing & product Tegan Gilchrist.

News of the partnership builds on the excitement for Rebel WBBL|03, which will start with a carnival style opening weekend at North Sydney Oval on December 9 and 10 and spans 56 regular season matches plus three finals. Any Rebel WBBL matches broadcast on Network Ten can be viewed by Cricket Live Pass Subscribers. All remaining non-broadcast WBBL matches can be seen via a free live stream on Cricket Australia Live and Mamamia.
