Mag Cover Again Delivers Brutal Trump Slap Down

Mag Cover Again Delivers Brutal Trump Slap Down

It’s no secret that German weekly news magazine Der Spiegel is no fan of US president Donald Trump.

Since Trump became president 12 months ago, the title has regularly ridiculed him with a series of cartoon covers that have depicted him, among other things, as a member of the KKK, an ally of Russian president Vladimir Putin, the destroyer of America itself, and riding an atomic bomb with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in their underpants..

However, its latest cover has again caught world headlines after it showed Trump as a “devolved” man in the classic scientific illustration “March of Progress”.

And the cover seems somewhat timely following yet another disastrous week for the president following the launch of the tell-all book Fire And Fury, allegations he called African nations “shitholes”and the cancellation of his UK visit amid fears it would be hijacked by protestors.

The spoof image comes complete with the subtitle “In the age of Fire and Fury” an obvious reference to Wolff’s book.
