Leos Retains Top Spot For New Creative Wins, As 72andSunny Shines

Leo Burnett has retained the number one spot for new business wins for creative agencies according to the latest data from tech marketing firm R3.

The Publicis-owned agency wins for the month included Emirates Airlines, Sydney’s Barangaroo precinct and bathroom supplier Caroma.

The top placing follows Leo’s CEO Peter Bosilkovski surprise move to rival Y&R just a fortnight ago.

In another interesting twist, newcomer 72andSunny shot into second spot on February’s list after winning part of the Optus creative.

And in good news for the independents, Adam Ferrier’s Thinkerbell took third on the list with wins that included Vegemite and Our Watch.

DDB fell two spots to fourth from January despite retaining McDonald’s. While R/GA stormed into the top five after winning the NRL’s creative.

Admittedly, February is one of adland’s quietest months which may explain why BBDO fell nine spots two twelfth and M&C Saatchi fell eight spots to fourteenth. Check out February’s top 20 below:
