Landor Sydney To Look Beyond Branding With New Hire

Landor Sydney has hired a new client director, Pablo Romo, adding strong branding, marketing and advertising experience to Landor’s growing corporate client list.

Hailing from Mexico, Romo most recently worked in Client Services at Interbrand, working on top clients across the country and the region, including Pemex (Mexican Petroleum, Mexico’s biggest company), Televisa (Latin America’s largest mass media company) and Telmex (Mexico’s largest telecommunications company). A member of the board of directors, he oversaw operations across Central America and the Caribbean.

“Having started his career with Landor in Mexico, I’m excited to bring Pablo on board given his strategic depth and holistic view on corporate branding. His focus will be on helping Landor’s corporate clients to be more innovative and agile, ensuring brands remain relevant in today’s dynamic and ever-changing marketplace,” said Landor’s managing director Dominic Walsh.

After completing a masters of marketing at UNSW, Romo worked at Principals in Sydney as a brand consultant for clients such as NRMA Motoring and Services, Stockland, Subaru and University of Queensland and has also worked as an account director at Saatchi & Saatchi, for Procter & Gamble across Latin America. He has sat both agency and client side after being part of the marketing teams at powerhouse FMCG brands Procter & Gamble and Nestlé.

“I believe that the conventional approach to branding is changing both because brands demand it and because we as consultants can deliver more relevant work to our clients. I’m fascinated to be part of this shifting paradigm,” said Romo.
