The Lab Insight & Strategy Melbourne has appointed former GFK Director Andrew Therkelsen (pictured) to the newly created role of Managing Director for The Lab Insight & Strategy Sydney.

Therkelsen brings more than 15 years of international and local experience and will commence in the role in mid-October.

Paul Labagnara, CEO, The Lab Insight & Strategy, said, “Andrew is a true insights professional and a natural leader – this coupled with his extensive experience across a wide range of industries and his passion and drive to deliver for clients made him the perfect choice for the role.

“We started The Lab in Melbourne 10 years ago and have been fortunate to have built a strong business in Melbourne, working with some of Australia’s best known brands. We’ve always believed that brands are part of culture, and when we connect brands, culture and commercial insights, we can really help brands unlock opportunities and leap forward.

“Andrew shares the same belief and with a growing client base in Sydney the time is right for us to open a new office and expand and grow into that market.”

Therkelsen added, “The Lab is an agency I have admired for a long time, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team. Paul and Neale have built an amazing business that consistently delivers exceptional work. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to help bring a fresh and unique offer to the market here in Sydney.”
