Aussie furniture brand, Koala, have announced experienced people and culture leader Lori Ghezzi as the company’s first-ever chief people officer.
Ghezzi (featured image) – who boasts over 24 years’ experience in strategy, talent, technology and culture – will now have oversight of Koala’s people and culture team across Australia, Japan and South Korea.
Ghezzi will also be responsible for defining and establishing Koala’s people and culture strategy as well as their DEIB strategy.
She’ll be taking Koala’s disruptive approach to shake up the treehouse, while bringing non-traditional engagement to the rather traditional furniture industry.
This includes re-thinking the employee experience, through implementing unconventional employee moves, such as going to a nine-day fortnight as a standard way of working, as well as focusing on organisational development, talent and leadership development, employee engagement and cultural change management.
Prior to Koala, Ghezzi worked with multiple globally successful companies including Atlassian, Cisco Systems, Dell, FMC Technologies, and National Oilwell Varco.
Not only has she lived in 14 countries, but she has also presented and consulted globally to build and grow teams within Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US.
