King Content has snapped up Andie Tickner as its new head of content planning, Sydney from fellow content agency, Edge, where she has been group account director since early 2014.

Tickner’s hire adds another senior leader to the Australian business and firms up the agency’s commitment to exceptional client services and innovative content planning.

With more than 20 years’ experience directing digital marketing and commercial content programs for leading global and Australian brands, Andie Tickner is set to be at the forefront of King Content’s Australian operation as it continues to expand in 2016.

Tickner joins the rapidly expanding Sydney office of 42 staff, led by recently appointed GM Ruth Haffenden, in response to a suite of high-profile national client wins including Chartered Accountants ANZ, LinkedIn Talent Solutions, Dan Murphy’s, Hostworks, Primo and Heidi Klum Intimates.

Tickner’s role includes providing senior client leadership and content planning excellence on King Content’s largest accounts. She will lead the content planning team from ideation through to execution of King Content’s expanding service offering, which includes strategy, data and insights, editorial, video, native, live event content, social, design and podcasts.

Recently acquired by APAC’s leading media intelligence company Isentia, King Content has continued to expand its global offering, having recently opened offices in Hong Kong and Perth to add to its existing presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, London and New York whilst projecting further growth in 2016.

CEO Craig Hodges said, “King Content is all about the quality of the people and we’re excited to add Andie to the leadership group in Sydney. Her experience and enthusiasm will be a great addition to the team and I’m looking forward to her building out our existing client relations even further in 2016.”

Tickner added, “King Content are quite the impressive entity & I simply found it impossible to resist the opportunity to be a part of this incredible business & importantly for me, have the chance to work with such an exceptionally talented team.

“The challenge ahead is massive & I’m super excited to bring my wealth of content expertise along with my background in media, music, sponsorship & entertainment to deliver brilliant, integrated & successful content solutions for all clients locally & globally. What’s more the timing is perfect. It’s awesome to be joining the team now when the business has already achieved massive growth, yet the best is yet to come with further expansion globally & the exciting integration with iSentia on the horizon.”
