Former PWC marketer Kathryn Illy has joined the board of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), effective immediately.
Illy brings to the AMI Board over 20 years of industry experience in B2B and B2C marketing across financial services and professional services. She is currently GM of consumer marketing at Destination NSW.
Illy started her career in advertising and has worked extensively across all marketing disciplines including brand, digital marketing, direct marketing, product marketing, events, communications, media and partnerships.
AMI said that Illy was a “strategic, commercial and creative thinker” and has led large, global teams of professionals to deliver business and marketing strategies with proven results.
She is a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM), holds a Master of Business Administration and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and completed a Strategic Negotiations course at the Harvard Business School. She is an active Board Director, sits on the Australian Marketing Institute Professional Advancement Committee and the University of Technology Sydney School of Communications Advisory Board.
