WPP’s J. Walter Thompson Sydney has bolstered its creative ranks appointing a new team to work across a range of key clients.
Kostia Liakhov (left in photo) and Angus Loxton (right) join from IPG’s R/GA Sydney, where Liakov was art director and Loxton a copywriter. Prior to teaming up, the duo worked at other major agencies in Sydney, with Liakov also bringing unique insight from roles in Germany and The Ukraine.
J. Walter Thompson ECD Simon Langley said the team had proven creative talent teamed with strong digital experience across multiple platforms – an ideal fit for the agency.
“The requirements of our clients constantly evolve as the consumer and business world continues to change at a rapid rate,” Langley said. “We’re always looking for skills and people who can tackle any business problem and meet it with unexpected, yet effective creative solutions. We believe we’ve found that in Kostia and Angus. They’re a great addition to our team and our culture.”
Liakov has a swag of awards including Black and Yellow pencils at D&AD, Gold at Cannes, One Show and Clios, plus many more for his innovative approach to problem solving.
Langley said the two are tasked with continuing to raise the creative profile of the agency through world class work with an added focus in the product and innovation space.
