Surf, skate, art, music and culture publisher Monster Children, has announced that actor, writer and director Jonah Hill is guest editor of Monster Children Issue #68.

While Jonah Hill needs no introduction, he is best known for his comedic roles in films including Superbad (2007), Knocked Up (2007), and Get Him to the Greek (2010), as well as his dramatic performances in Moneyball (2011) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Outside of his prolific acting career, Jonah Hill made his directorial debut with the film Mid90’s (2018) from his own screenplay.

Issue #68 of Monster Children Magazine has been entirely curated by Jonah Hill and features include:

  • Hill interviewing skate legend Elissa Steamer, and CEO of the David Lynch Foundation Bob Roth
  • A stirring eulogy to MF Doom by hip hop industry legend Dante Ross
  • Chico Brenes and Rick Howard going deep on their new love of surfing
  • Mike Gigliotti walking us through his life from birth to skateshop
  • Alex Olson rapping with his yoga teacher, Kyle Miller
  • Getting tubed with The Black Surfing Association
  • Fake ads created by Steve Rocco (of World Industries Skateboarding fame)
  • A Positivity Flavoured cover by artist Chrissie Abbot

Jonah Hill said, “thanks for reading. I love this magazine and it’s an honour to have curated it and… I just want you all to smile.”

Monster Children editor-in-chief Jason Crombie said “we couldn’t be more stoked to have had Jonah at the helm. We’ve been huge fans of his for years and to work together on this project has been an awesome experience.”

Monster Children was founded in Sydney, Australia, in 2003 and is a leading global youth culture publisher.

Jonah Hill is the latest personality to become a Monster Children guest editor, following a  long tradition of names including Beastie Boy Mike D, Radiohead Art Director Stanley Donwood, six-time world champion surfer Steph Gilmore and skateboarding pioneer Jason Lee.

Monster Children Issue #68 with guest editor Jonah Hill is available online at monsterchildren.com, at newsagents and boutique stockists from Wednesday 7th July.

To celebrate Jonah HIll as guest editor, Monster Children has also produced a limited edition, specially curated box set. Retailing for $79.95 AUD with over $200 worth of value, only 500 box sets are available worldwide. The set contains the JH x MC Guest Editor Issue, along with a Meditation Cassette written and voiced by Jonah Hill, a JH x MC Beanie, Pin set, along with a sticker sheet and JH x MC Notebook and Pen.
